Mach dein Duplex (Classic / Pro / Zip) freistehend, wenn Heringe keine Option sind: Plattformen, harter Boden, Sand oder Granit. Das Flex Kit ist „zwei Zelte in einem“ – nimm die Stangen nur dann mit, wenn du sie wirklich brauchst.

- Für schwierige Plätze: Pitch auf Plattformen, hartem Boden, Sand oder Fels – überall dort, wo Stakes nicht greifen oder nicht erlaubt sind.
- Fast, easy setup: 4 Stangen werden diagonal in Ringe an Peaks & Ecken gesteckt; ein Toggle fixiert die X-Kreuzung in der Mitte.
- Wind-Ready (richtig genutzt): In moderatem Wetter können die Flex-Pole allein reichen. Bei starkem Wind Peaks mit Trekkingstöcken oder 48" Tent Poles abstützen – zusammen wird das Setup deutlich steifer.

Carbon vs. Aluminum – welche Wahl?
- Carbon Fiber: so leicht wie möglich (277 g gesamt) – ideal, wenn du nur „für spezielle Nächte“ freestanding willst.
- Aluminum: kürzer gefaltet (11.25") und oft die budgetfreundlichere Option.
Quick Setup (Step-by-Step)
- Corner stake loops lösen und Ringe mit einbinden.
- 2 Toggles an den Wall Tie-Outs anbringen.
- Je eine Stange diagonal Peak↔gegenüberliegende Ecke einsetzen und Guyline spannen.
- Alle 4 Stangen einsetzen, dann Center-Toggle um das X legen.
- Bei Wind Peaks zusätzlich mit Trekkingstöcken/48" Tent Poles abstützen.
Wann lohnt sich das Flex Kit?
- Wenn du häufig auf Plattformen schläfst oder Stellplätze „totgetreten“ sind.
- Für Bikepacking / kleine Packs, wo ein kurzes Packmaß zählt.
- Wenn du die Duplex-Option „Trekking-Pole Pitch“ behalten willst, aber freestanding als Backup magst.
Ultralight – aber situativ smarter: freestanding, wenn du’s brauchst. Minimal, wenn du’s nicht brauchst.

Poor quality control… Received a used pair

The shoes that were delivered showed signs of wear. Not sure if this was a used pair or a display pair but this should have been caught from the beginning. I would normally return them, but will be out of the country for the next month and don’t have the time. Unacceptable quality control from the official cole haan store front.
