This exclusive collection handmade by artist Johnny Smoke, combines various rare and iconic vintage patches and accessories with 100% vintage & original vietnam war jackets to create a unique one of a kind wearable piece of art and history.

Features of "Gonzo":
This piece is inspired by the life and work of Hunter S. Thompson. A voice I wish we still had around today. This original battle worn vietnam field jacket is a style you would easily see Hunter wearing.

Measurements:

  • Width: 22"
  • Height: 27"

RARE - vintage Indian Motorcycle patch:
This patch is super vintage from my personal collection. Just like the man himself, I've never been able to find another one like it. A tribute to Hunter's love of motorcycles and his book "Hell's Angels".

Vintage 60's Hell's Angels pin:
Another tribute to Hunter's first book 'Hell's Angels". This is an original vintage motorcycle pin often worn by members of the Hell's Angels.

Vintage 1970's Las Vegas pin:

"So now, less than five years later, you can go up on a steep hill in Las Vegas and look West, and with the right kind of eyes you can almost see the high-water mark-that place where the wave finally broke and rolled back.”

Original Vietnam 5th special forces Bat Patch:
“We can't stop here, this is bat country!”

The artwork of Ralph Steadman became synonymous with Hunter's writing and his "Gonzo journalism" persona. This original Vietnam war 5th special forces Bat patch is not only a nod to the iconic work and contributions of Ralph Steadman's art; it represents an elite group. And both of these men truly comprise an elite group of creative genius.
The 5th Special Forces Group saw extensive action in the Vietnam War and played a pivotal role in the early months of Operation Enduring Freedom.

Zulu Company - Grim Reaper patch & hand painted ink splatter:
Thompson was discharged from the Air Force in November 1957 as an airman first class, his commanding officer having recommended him for an early honorable discharge. ... "Sometimes his rebel and superior attitude seems to rub off on other airmen staff members."

The addition of this patch (accented with Ralph Steadman-esq hand painted ink splatters) is inspired by the edge Hunter walked. A seeming fearlessness in the face of any obstacle that might dare to stand in his way.

The first element of the 101st Airborne, the 1st Brigade arrived in Vietnam in July 1965 an remained until 1972. They served 1,573 days in the war. During the Vietnam War, American GIs began a tradition of placing the ace on a dead body, or leaving it in a village. Thus ideas like “being aced” were linked to death and dying.

Hand stitched Name tape:
The name synonymous with his legacy, "Gonzo" is hand stitched on this custom name tape.
Gonzo pin (Reproduction):
The "Gonzo fist", characterized by two thumbs and four fingers holding a peyote button, was originally used in Hunter S. Thompson's 1970 campaign for sheriff of Pitkin County, Colorado. It has become a symbol of Thompson and gonzo journalism as a whole. This pin is a reproduction of the pin frequently worn by Hunter during his campaign. Later he would use this symbol as a design for the funeral cannon that fired his ashes over the mountains. The cannon was reportedly completed by Johnny Depp for an estimated 3 million dollars.
Replica Las Vegas Visor:
This jacket would not be complete without Hunter's famous visor. Comes with a reproduction Las Vegas visor like the one worn by Johnny Depp in the movie "Fear And Loathing in Las Vegas".

Slightly repetitive but I did love some things
Format: Kindle
I love this type of story. And omegaverse is one of my all time favorite genres. But there are a few things that pulled me out of my enjoyment while I was reading. It was repetitive at times as well as struggled with telling not showing. So we didn’t always feel like we were experiencing things with the main character. There were also some plot holes but they may still be answered in part 2. Now this isn’t to be said I didn’t enjoy parts of the story. I loved the almost instant love between Mila and Oliver. And how he started changing around her.

delightful read
Format: Kindle
What a delightful read. The characters are awesome, the plot was so good, I loved it. I was intrigued and it kept me wanting more. Told in multiple pov, the book sucks you in and doesn’t let go. I cannot wait to read the next book.

not bad
Format: Kindle
I loved the plot of this book. The characters just didn’t have a lot of depth. The connections and “love” just weren’t communicated very well in the writing. The author didn’t write the sweet psycho trope very well at all either. Lachlan was just a mess of a character.

A Beta Worth Rooting For
Format: Kindle
In Spare, Violet Fox flips the omegaverse on its head, giving us a Beta heroine determined to make her mark. Joining the Beta Trials to support her sick father, she's thrown into a pack that doesn't want her, especially the possessive Alphas. But here's the twist: their sweet Omega turns out to be her scent match. Cue the angst, forbidden tension, and a slow-burn romance that will make your heart ache in the best way. Violet Fox delivers an emotional, refreshing take on the genre, proving Betas aren't "spares." They're stars.

Beta, Alpha, Omega oh my!
Format: Kindle
Omegas are precious and given to Alphas & their packs... but the Betas want in too. To this end, the Beta government is rolling out its trial of assigning a Beta to each Alpha-Omega pack. But forcing a Beta into a pack where they are not wanted will not end well... Of course, no one expected the Omega to fall for the assigned Beta. Great read and cliffhanger
