Fourteenth studio album from David Bowie. Scary Monsters was originally recorded in 1980 and is noted by many as the official last great album from the prolific, genre bending artist. Coming on the heels of his Berlin Trilogy, the album encapsulates Bowie's 70s experimentation while maintaining the perfect balance between creativity and pop ambitions. Glam rock themes are reworked with avant synth embellishments as Bowie exhumes his past. Frequent collaborator Robert Fripp adds obtuse guitar interjections that help to turn the album's pop ambitions on their head. It's the risk taking on this album that sets it apart from what would come after. There are unconventional time signatures, strangled vocals and dense arrangements; things that would be hard to find on later releases. Includes the songs: "Ashes to Ashes," "Fashion," and "Scary Monsters." Ten tracks in all. Released by Parlophone on 180 gram vinyl with printed inner sleeve.

  • 180 gram vinyl pressing
  • 2017 remaster
  • printed inner sleeve

Nice design, easy to pour, smooth coffee.
This is a really great design. We've been using this since July of 2024 and it's come in really handy for daily coffee making. Much smoother than a drip machine, and less coffee is needed. This starts the journey coffee making artisans.

Just the perfect size!
Love the size of the carafe. Smaller than expected but that was what I was hoping for. A good 2½ to 3 cups full. Looks modern and Chic and blends in with all the other stainless steel appliances in my kitchen.

It's nice, but the glass is super thin
Everything about this is built really well, except the glass. I'll get into the glass at the end of this, so stick with me. The stand is real heavy and overbuilt if you ask me, but that makes it super stable. The rubber mat on the bottom is a nice touch. The rubber that holds the metal cone on the stand keeps it stable too. The cone works great with #4 coffee filters (I've got a mess of them). They're a bit big but they still fit. I actually use it a lot of times without the stand because I weigh my water as I add it. The cone fits nicely right in the top of the glass. The glass though. It's SUPER thin. I've had a Chemex knock-off that was slightly thicker than this break just from setting it on the counter wrong. I'm just waiting for this thing to shatter on me for no reason. This would be a great unit if that glass wasn't so thin.

Neat looking, yet over priced
This definitely looks pretty cool. And the magnet built into it makes it somewhat unique. But when you really get down to it, it's a stand for a coffee filter and carafe.

Best pour-over coffee maker
This pour-over is my favorite. I've tried metal mesh and ceramic pour-over. This set up is the best, it aerates the coffee as you pour.
