Planting Directions:  Sow seeds in peat pots, indoors 6-8 weeks before planting out, direct sowing is usually more successful.  Just barely cover the seed with sterile seed starting mix with a soil temperature of 65°-70°.  Direct sow in early spring, when soil is cool and a light frost is still possible, or in late autumn where winters are mild.  Transplant or thin to 8-12” apart.  Plant in well prepared soil in full sun. Water when soil is dry and deadhead regularly.    

Remarks:  To use seeds in cooking detach brown pods from plants and dry out of direct light.  Rub pods gently to release seeds.  Dry completely and store in a sealed jar.
