Vintage 1940s German Berchesgadener dirndl dress.

Bust - 38"
Waist - 31"
Hips - full
Length - 45 1/4"

Nice dark green dress with red and white print. "Riehl's Berchtesgadener Dirndl" label. The print has people in traditional German clothing, houses and a man on horseback. Buttons down the front. There are snaps inside the top so that an extra piece can be added for modesty if desired. The top part is lined.

 

Overall good condition, but it does have some issues. It has general overall wear; I have not attempted to launder it. There is elastic at the ends of the sleeves to give them a cute puffed look, however the elastic is completely stretched out and needs replaced. The collar trim has some wear. The lining has some staining and discoloration (mostly under the arms and around the collar).

I cried my eyes out when he walked into the story. I was truly terrified he was going to be a bad guy to the end. However you truly did him such a justice by having him realize his faults & having him redeem himself in the most wonderful way. I’m so sad that he didn’t get to hear how much his brother loved him & forgave him before dying. But again you wrote that ending so beautifully & I just can’t express how much I loved this story & how you took a different route than most authors I have read have. You are a remarkable author Cinder Blaze & I thank you generously for creating such a masterpiece.
