Native to tropical America, Ananas comosus 'Champaca' plants are evergreen perennials that form rosettes of dark green, sword-like leaves. In summer you can expect tubular purple flowers, followed by small pineapples (although we would not recommend eating the fruit as they can be toxic).
How To Care For Your Pineapple Plant
These plants like a bright position in sun or partial shade. Water regularly but allow the soil to dry out a little between waterings to avoid root rot.
