Origins
Monstera adansonii has a broad native range across the tropical Americas, from southern Mexico and Central America through the Caribbean and much of tropical South America, including Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, and Brazil. In the wild, it grows as a hemi-epiphyte in humid lowland forests, and the variegated form is a rare sport selected and propagated in cultivation.
