Vinca are very heat tolerant and start to flower in mid to late summer. Best direct seeded in late spring or early summer when you soil temperature is in the mid 70's and outside temps stay in the 80's for a week or so. In the garden we like to mix them with screened peat and then distribute on the top of our garden beds.

You can also start these early in pots by placing the seeds on the top of your potting soil and lightly covering them with peat. Once seedlings are 2" tall you can transplant them into your garden in spring after your last frost.
