General Summary

Lathril, Blade of the Elves is a potent force for the Elves. This deck leverages the natural synergy of the elf tribe to create a formidable board presence, generate vast amounts of mana, and eventually overwhelm your opponents in value. A typical game plan involves deploying Elves to the battlefield rapidly, enhancing them with various tribal buffs. The deck thrives in the mid-game, where its natural cohesiveness and massive mana advantage start to outpace the opponents, setting up for powerful late-game moves.

What Makes Lathril Special

Lathril is a very powerful commander. Firstly, she gets to produce elves equal to the damage she does to opponents. This, combined with menace, means that she is very likely to have at least one target she can connect with. Combined with anthems or single target buffs like Immaculate Magistrate and you will have a whole new army popping up every turn. These elves can not only use the anthems that we already have set up for Lathril, but can be tapped to nuke all of our opponents for 10. It doesn't take very many activations of that to just win a game!

General Gameplan

The general game plan of Lathril can be broken down into three main phases: setup, snowball, and finish.

  1. Setup: Early game is about laying down the groundwork. You'll want to ramp up your mana production and start deploying Elves to the battlefield. The goal during this phase is to establish a solid board presence while maintaining enough resources to react to your opponents' moves or avoid being blown out by a boardwipe. Remember that your commander will make you a ton of troops, so keep some back in hand so you're not out of the game to one spell.

  2. Snowball: Once you have a decent number of Elves on the board, it's time to start snowballing. This involves dropping anthems to buff your Elves, interacting with your opponents threats to make sure they can't contest you, and making sure to draw cards and keep your hand full. As long as you have cards, you're not out of it! Lathril should hopefully be cooking up an army for you to prepare for the final phase.

  3. Finish: If you can just win by swinging in with your buffed up army, you should! But oftentimes as games go on, people's blockers and defenses become too much. Hopefully you chunked your opponents enough in the mid-game that only a few Lathril activations will result in kills. An essential note: you can activate Lathril at any time, so hold up your 11 elves as blockers first, then once the opponent who goes before you is finishing their turn, activate Lathril. If you do it during your turn, you're practically begging to be smacked by the full force of the other three players.

I took several pictures that show all of the cards in the deck, so please look at those pictures so you can see what all of the cards do and how they interact with each other. Most if not all of these cards are in Near Mint or Mint condition. Here is the complete list:

If you’re curious about open ear earphones give these a try
Color: Black, Color: Black
I don’t normally review but these are genuinely great quality, especially for the price! I was skeptical about open ear for sound quality/comfort to be honest and the first couple days I used them they were a but uncomfortable and my ears hurt after a while, but once you figure out how to fit them properly and get used to it they’re actually incredibly comfortable, so much that I often forget I have them on lol. The part that hooks on your ear is a soft bendy plastic, silicone-like so it’s pretty forgiving for different ear shapes. I love the dual connecting Bluetooth as well, super useful for switching between tasks on different devices. The sound quality is pretty on par with higher end options and it doesn’t really leak sound much either, even though it’s open ear which is great, also allows you to still hear your surroundings really well so good for commuting/out and about/office work. Great battery life and they charge quickly in the case, I work in video editing so use them pretty much all day and with the case they last several days before needing a recharge. I’ve had them for a couple months now I think and I’m really glad I went with this option. Absolutely the best option I’ve tried around this price point, anker products as a whole I’ve found are really great quality at a very reasonable price.

COMFORT KING 👑✨
Color: White
I struggle finding headsets that don't bother my ears OR cause headsets 🙈 others will just fall right out which gets super annoying... These on the other hand, are like air!! I genuinely cannot even tell I'm wearing them! The ear piece is adjustable for all (or most) ears! The sound quality is amazing while still being able to hear what's going on around me. They don't fall out, the adjustments help with that too! Even on the tightest setting, it's not uncomfortable, the silicone really feels like butter. My only semi-complaint is that the battery doesn't seem to last very long, but I've only used them out of the box 🙈 I'm gonna charge a full day and see how they do! Honestly not a major problem anyway because I only wear one for work, when one dies I just swap to the other. Connectivity is quick and easy! If you are picky about ear comfort, I promise you, these will not let you down!! ABSOLUTELY WORTH THE MONEY

Good value
Color: Black
These arrived a day early and I am currently wearing them as I write this. So far these aren't bad and I'm having a hard time complaining about what you get for the price. I got these for around $30 and the fact these have touch controls and an app you can use to adjust the EQ, the touch settings, and other things already makes them a good deal. The main reason I bought these is because I needed a pair of open earbuds for work so I can listen to music while still being able to hear what's going on around me. The sound quality isn't terrible but it isn't going to blow you away either. It's kind of like having 2 cheap but decent Bluetooth speakers strapped to your ears. Out of the box they might sound a tad muddy but I like using the hip hop or electronic EQ settings to make them sound more clear with added bass. They don't sound as good as in-ear earbuds (mainly because the bass isn't as rumbly) but they still sound really good, especially for the price. Once you change the EQ settings they have good clarity and you can hear the subtle nuances of each instrument. And although you can't really feel the rumble of the bass you can definitely hear it and most songs sound great on these in my opinion. I did notice that some songs with heavy sub bass sound kind of weird though. The touch controls work pretty well but hitting the right spot can be a little tricky especially when doing double taps. These also stay locked to your ears pretty well. You could headbang to some heavy metal music and these will not be sent into orbit. Some people say these are comfortable and you almost forget you're wearing them but I've had them on for about an hour and I can definitely still feel them. They aren't the most comfortable earbuds I've ever worn but they don't feel that bad either. I wore them at work most of the day and only my left ear started to feel slightly uncomfortable but I think that was just because the earbud needed to be adjusted a bit. The battery life is great and the case has fast charging which is convenient if you want to throw them in the case on your lunch break and get enough juice to last the rest of the day. The case is also smaller than I expected. I thought it would be bigger considering the size of the earbuds but it's literally the length of a toilet paper roll (i'm sick and have a roll laying on my bed next to the case) and it's about as wide as the upper part of your palm and as thick as a mcdonalds cheeseburger lol if you want a solid pair of open ear buds for work but aren't trying to spend a fortune these are a good option to consider. Just keep in mind that you aren't going to get super high quality studio level sound from these but that's not what they're made for anyway.

Soundcore V20i: Seamless Bluetooth Switching, Long Battery Life, No Drama
Color: Black
Alright… listen up, Amazonians. I don’t write reviews. I avoid them like I avoid assembling IKEA furniture without instructions. But these Soundcore V20i headphones dragged me in here against my will. I’ve spent enough money on headphones over the years to qualify for a small auto loan—Apple, Samsung, Bose… if it had a fancy box and a price tag that made me uncomfortable, I bought it. And yet somehow THESE are the ones that made me stop mid-day and go, “Wait… why do these work better than everything else I own?” Now let’s manage expectations before anyone accuses me of losing my mind: do they sound like you’re sitting front row at a live concert? No. Do the ear hooks feel like they could use a little more cushion? Yes. Do they have noise cancellation? Absolutely not—you will still hear your dog barking, your coworkers talking, and every bad decision echoing in your head. Are they waterproof? Also no. If you drop these in a pool, that’s on you, not Anker. BUT… these things have one superpower, and it’s the one feature that apparently every $200+ pair of headphones forgot to get right: they switch between my phone and computer like they’ve achieved enlightenment. I’m on my computer all day—calls, music, more calls, more music, repeat until I question my life choices. Before these headphones, switching devices felt like negotiating a hostage situation. “Why won’t you connect?” “Why are you connected to the wrong device?” “WHY ARE YOU CONNECTED TO THE NEIGHBOR’S TV??” With these? Call comes in—boom, switches instantly. Call ends—boom, right back to music. No button mashing, no Bluetooth menu gymnastics, no yelling into the void. It just works. The only thing I’ve used that even comes close is AirPods, but try using those outside the Apple ecosystem and suddenly you’re troubleshooting like it’s 2007 and you just installed a printer. These? They don’t care what you’re using. Windows? Cool. Samsung phone? Great. Chaos in your life? Handled. They’re comfortable, they don’t feel like they’re trying to burrow into your skull, and they actually stay on your ears when you move around like a normal human being instead of a statue. Oh—and the battery life? Ridiculous. I keep waiting for them to die and they just… don’t. At this point I’m convinced they’re powered by spite or dark magic. Are they perfect? No. Do they do the ONE thing I actually need better than anything else I’ve tried? Shockingly, yes. For this price, it’s honestly ridiculous. Anker really woke up and said, “What if we just made something that works… and didn’t charge a kidney for it?” Bold. Respect!

Surprisingly Good
Color: Black
I got these over a year ago for less than $25 and I’m surprised with how good they are. I needed something in a pinch just for calls and expected a product that would sound horrible when listening to music, but these inexpensive earphones sound pretty decent. They have an app that allows you to use different equalizer settings giving you rich sound and bass either using their presets or you can set custom EQ. I like that these are over the ear so you can enjoy your music and still be aware of your surroundings. They are light and comfortable, so much so that I almost forget I’m wearing them at times. The hook over ear design is secure enough that I don’t feel I have to adjust them often like earbuds that constantly feel like they’re going to fall out of my ears. You can also use the app to customize the touch features on each earpiece individually and there are lights on the earphones that you can turn on and off and set to different colours. The batteries last a long time, up to 8 hours on a full charge (when not using the lights feature) and they charge really quickly when you put them back in the case. The only thing I don’t like about them is you can’t tap them to answer calls, which is why I bought them. At least I haven’t been able to figure out how to get that to work. But other than that, I’m pretty satisfied with my purchase.
